Could be the closest we've come to a new Ghostbusters. I wish they would have made a sequel earlier. I was such a big fan of the first two films, had Ghostbuster figures, the central station, etc. I hope this comes to fruition.

I've heard quite a few rumours that Steve Carrell is going to have a part in this new Ghostbusters movie

Not sure how I would feel about that. I guess it could be good. I haven't seen much of his work, honestly.
